Jean-Luc Thellin
Organist and harpsichordist Liégeois (B), Jean-Luc Thellin is professor of organ at the Conservatoire of Rayonnement (F-Chartres), at the conservatory of Melun (F) and professor of harpsichord in Sens (F).
Winner of several international competitions, he tries not to specialize in a single period of the history of music, he interprets both early and twentieth-century music in passing by Johann Sebastian Bach and the romantic era which allows him to be invited in international festivals throughout Europe as well as in North America.
He has a special passion for the organ works of J.S.Bach, César Franck and Maurice Duruflé whose complete works he played in concert many times.
The will to discover the secrets of Jean-Sébastien Bach is one of his priorities.
Improvisation is another passion, Jean-Luc Thellin dedicates a large part to improvisation whatever the style both in concert and in the liturgy. He taught improvisation at the organ in the Royal Conservatory of Liège (B) as well as written harmony and basso continuo.
In June 2010, Jean-Luc Thellin was nominated by competition, organist at the Stolz organ of the church Our Lady in Vincennes (F).
